Changes are afoot at the DMA Awards Committee.

Tony Miller is passing the baton after an incredible stint as the Chair of our Awards Committee. From winning his first Gold back in 2004 and then leading the charge these past three years, Tony has truly been at the heart of what makes the DMA Awards sparkle.

“The last three years as Chair have been a true highlight, especially when you have such a dynamic group of industry change makers at the helm along with you to make it both fun and rewarding,” says Tony.

“I can honestly say the committee is the best gig in town as you are working with the best of the best in the industry - 25 committee members, over 380 judges and 39 category chairs...the cream of the crop.”

Taking on the role of Chair is former Deputy Chair, Caroline Parkes, Chief Strategy Officer, RAPP, while Dave Robinson, Customer Strategy and Analytics Director, Virgin Red, will be stepping up as Deputy Chair.

Both are excited about what the future holds.

“I’m excited about how we can go further with the DMA Awards, creating even more of a community amongst the judges all year round, bringing new talent into the committee, and continuing to make our awards the most inclusive,” says Caroline.

“These awards have helped fuel my career, and I’m relishing how Dave and I can help push them to new heights.”

After a long history with the DMA Awards as an entrant, judge and awards committee member, Dave is looking forward to continuing his involvement.

“I’m excited to be working even more closely with Caroline and our brilliant committee to continue to build the profile and impact of the DMA Awards.

“The DMA Awards are a showcase of the very best data-driven marketing work and the incredible talent that creates and delivers it, and I feel privileged to be involved in their success.”

Tony reflects on his time as chair with fondness — he says a highlight of his time as Chair has been celebrating the success and achievements of the community.

“I will look back on this time as Chair with my head held high and a spring in my step, knowing that the work continues to be championed and celebrated."

The theme of community is one Caroline mirrors.

“The togetherness and positivity from singing in the DMA Choir at our annual awards brings me absolute joy, so I’m looking to create more of this spirit for people who get involved, all year round!”
