Business Plan

The Council is currently working on the following key objectives, in order to address the multitude of issues facing the financial services sector:
  • Business Development - to provide increased networking opportunities for DMA financial services client members through its relationship with tank! and through client discussion forums.

  • Best Practice & Governance - to monitor FSA consultation papers and secure the most positive outcome for the financial services sector, and ensure clients and agencies have the expertise to implement financial promotions in line with FSA requirements. Initiatives include developing and promoting Best Practice Guidelines, strengthening the relationship between the Council and the FSA and providing members with specific guidance on forthcoming legislation.

  • Benchmarking - to monitor and report on the standard and impact of financial services direct marketing through initiatives such as the Peoples Choice Awards and the Opt-In Action Group in conjunction with tank!

  • PR / Comms - to improve communication between the Council and the Interest Group through newsletters, legislative updates and open meetings. In particular to keep members informed and receive feedback on how forthcoming legislation will affect financial services direct marketing.

  • Events - to optimise the transfer of knowledge through training and events. In particular, to build on the success of the inaugural Financial Services Conference, training workshops and regional forums.
