Alcohol awareness charity Drinkaware is launching an interactive digital campaign to examine the nation's drinking habits.
The What's Britain Drinking? drive will be made up of online content, together with various events staged in city centres across the country, highlighting the effects of binge drinking. Consumers, particularly those aged between 25 and 44, are invited to fill in an online questionnaire detailing how much alcohol they consume during the festive period. The charity will collect further data from alcohol unit calculators on MSN and Yahoo!, with the statistics gathered used to shape subsequent campaigns. Chris Sorek, chief executive of the organisation, said: "December and the festive season are a natural time for friends and families to come together and the aim of our initiative is to examine whether people know what and how much they are drinking over December in comparison to the rest of the year." Domestic violence charity Refuge has launched a digital marketing campaign to support its battle against the abuse of women and children.
