The deadline for entries for the 2011 DMA Awards has been extended by one week from Friday 9 September to Friday 16 September. The Awards’ organisers have made the decision to extend the entry period due to popular demand.
Hundreds of entries have been already submitted, but it is expected that many more will take advantage of the one-week extension period in the hope of winning big in the direct marketing industry’s most prestigious Awards show.
This year Lord Smith, chairman of the Advertising Standards Authority and former Labour Secretary of State for the Department of Culture, Media & Sport, will serve as chair of judges.
Lord Smith will oversee the rigorous DMA judging process, which involves more than 200 industry experts from client companies, suppliers and agencies. He will also lead the final Grand Prix judging process, during which an overall champion is selected from among the Gold winners.
The winners’ shortlist will be announced in October and the annual Awards ceremony will take place at the City of London’s Old Billingsgate on 7 December.
For the first time, the DMA Awards are sponsored by TNT Post.
