The CAP Compliance team is concerned by the continuing appearance of national press ads and inserts (including publisher-branded reader offers) that feature unsubstantiated claims for products sold by Easylife. Some of the products for which we have not seen evidence to prove all efficacy claims include: WalkFit Orthotics, Medosan Age Spot Cream, Vein Miracle, Eye Miracle, Vacuum Pump, Natura Viga, Posture Support, Knee Strap, Professional Mattress Cleaner, TV & Radio Antenna, Dog Bark Control Collar, Car Heater/Cooler, Window Clear and Neptune Plant.

Easylife has been the subject of previous upheld ASA adjudications and CAP Compliance team action. It has received advice from the CAP Copy Advice team and the Compliance teams on how to amend advertising to comply with the CAP Code. Despite this, Easylife has failed to implement the necessary revisions to its ads. The Compliance team is concerned by the advertiser’s apparent disregard for previous ASA decisions and the CAP Code.

We are seeking CAP members’ co-operation in helping to ensure that the content of Easylife press ads and inserts are first checked with the CAP Copy Advice team before they are accepted for publication or distribution.
