The DTI is responsible for the UK competitiveness agenda. The DMA works closely with the DTI on issues, consultations and initiatives to ensure the industry's views are represented and opportunities maximised. The key areas of focus are currently:
In the area of export, we are working with the Trade and Industry Sector Partnership to determine the export potential of the direct marketing industry. In the area of business services the DMA is a member of the DTI Business Services Expert Group and has recently contributed to the DTI's consultation on the EU's draft proposals on EU Business Services.
