Compliance Questionnaire FAQs



Please refer to the article below for information about completing your annual DMA Compliance Questionnaires online.

Q. I can’t see the list of questionnaires on the webpage?
This will probably be because you do not have the Compliance Officer Website Role –and therefore do not have access rights to the questionnaire. Please check with any colleagues who are in correspondence with the DMA secretariat and if in doubt please contact the Compliance Department on 020 7291 3360.
Q. Some of the questionnaires listed are not relevant to my organisation.
You only need to answer questions on sectors in which you were active and/or offered advice on, in the last trading year. In light of this, if you see a questionnaire which is not applicable you can click on the questionnaire link, scroll to the top of form and check the box next to the ‘Defer’ option then press the ‘Defer’ button to proceed. The questionnaire will then be confirmed as ‘Deferred’ on the overview screen and you can complete the remaining forms as necessary. If, having read the questions on a questionnaire, you decide that some parts may indeed be applicable to you, you can answer those you decide relevant and select ‘N/A’ to the rest – when selecting ‘N/A’ you will be asked to give a reason in the notes box before you can submit your responses.
Q. I can’t see some sectors which I believe are relevant to our organisation.
The questionnaires are populated in line with the services in which your company is listed as active in the DMA Who’s Who directory and online search page. Therefore, if your business activities have recently changed, it could be that we do not have a record of the new activities undertaken by your company. This is simply rectified by contacting the Compliance Department on 020 7291 3360 where a member of the team will be able to add the required sector to the database which will then appear on the website overview page.
Q. Can I give a colleague of mine access rights to the questionnaires?
Yes. If you need to do this it can be done quickly by phoning or emailing the Compliance department who can set this up within minutes. If the person required to gain access rights is not already listed on our database we will need a full name, job title and email address in order to complete the process.
Q. I’ve made a mistake on one of the forms and clicked ‘submit’ – can I go back and change it?
You can’t do this online but if this does happen please contact the Compliance Department who will be able to either rectify any mistakes /omissions in house or make the questionnaire available for amendments via the website.
Q. What happens after I have completed and submitted all the forms?
Provided the DMA Compliance Department considers the responses on the questionnaires to be satisfactory, members will then be issued with a Member Compliance Certificate (as per section 3.5 of the DM Code). This will be sent out to members via 1st class post.
