How do QR codes work?
Put simply, they create a link between print and digital communication. This means not only that you optimise your marketing – it also becomes measurable. In other words, QR codes are a smart, simple way to shorten the path to a purchase for your customers – while at the same time you collect information about their purchasing behaviour.
Linking print and digital
QR codes can be printed on all printed material – advertisements, DM mailings, letterheads, business cards, magazines, brochures, etc. The code contains information that sends the customer straight to a campaign site, web shop, digital newsletter, film or other digital media.
Faster purchases
The customer scans the QR code using a smartphone. There are lots of apps for reading QR codes, most of them free. Through a couple of clicks on the mobile phone, the customer is invited to a direct purchasing opportunity, wherever he or she happens to be – at work, on the bus or sitting at home by the computer.
Creative dialogue
In connection with the QR code being scanned, information is saved about where the customer is located, at what time of day purchases are made and how the customer responds to your marketing. QR codes improve your opportunities to generate a creative dialogue with customers – thus making it more effective. All data can be converted into statistics in order to analyse customers’ purchasing behaviour.
QR codes can be personalised
Stralfors can create QR codes using information from a CRM tool and print the QR codes directly onto any printed marketing material. We also make sure that the campaign site or digital newsletter to which the QR code is linked has the same graphical profile as your existing website and other marketing channels.
What can I do with QR codes?
QR codes are most widely used to link print with digital communication. But as QR codes can essentially contain any kind of information at all, there are no limits to how you can use them. Link an advert or an invoice to a special offer in your web shop. Place the QR code on a product and let the customer claim a discount right away in the shop. Let the QR code be an element of a happening to reward loyal customers and find new markets. Or why not link to social media to enhance your company’s brand? You define the limits
